Other notes
- Made by Sajous at Chelo, but distributed and promoted by Velier.
- For the guys I met and who took the time to talk rum, a big Merci. It really was a wonderful get-together.
- The artwork on both this and the Casimir was done by Simeon Michel, a well known Haitian artist. There’s a better story behind the Vaval design, if you’re interested, at the bottom of the review.
nice review about a real UFO into the rum word…
and u should definitely try the other ones (Vaval and Casimir), differents profiles.
my only regret that day, was to missed the Albion 89…
Great piece of reading! I have only tried the Casimir and I fell in love with it immediately! what flavors! I`m hopefully soon going to try the Sajous and Vaval at the Tales at the Clairin tasting seminar. I can`t wait to try them….
Fun read, Lance. Sounds like a great eve of even better company.
Nice review, Lance. And good choice. I tried all three Clairins at a tasting back in November, and the Sajous was my favourite by far.
Hehe, I love this stuff. It’s eye-wateringly pungent, but tastes lovely.
I described it as “like being punched in the face and then given a hug afterwards”.
Makes a hell of a daiquiri with Plantation 3 star.
Can’t thank you enough for this review. Just bought my first bottle and am entranced.
